The Scotsman Events bringing the pages to life..…
Since 2007, The Scotsman has been developing a series of events to bring the Scottish public the best conferences, exhibitions and dinners that Scotland has to offer. Since then we welcomed more than 15,000 guests at over 20 events. From bespoke, unique seminars to large scale Scotland-wide shows, we are committed to offering our readers exactly what they want. From its first publication in 1817, The Scotsman has been at the heart of the debate about issues that really matter. Almost 200 years later, it is still the national forum for discussion on the topics of the moment. The Scotsman Conferences brings the debate alive, providing a real life forum for the Scottish public to have their say on issues of national importance.
Our two major exhibitions – Outdoor Pursuits Scotland and Love Pets Scotland - enjoyed great success in their maiden year, 2011, and so far have been bigger and better in 2012. Outdoor Pursuits, Scotland’s liveliest outdoors show, was held at the Royal Highland Centre in April and boasted 49% more exhibitors and 33% more visitors than 2011. Love Pets, Scotland’s only dedicated multi pet show, will be held in September this year and is already on course to have more than 100 exhibitors over 4000 square footage.
The popular series of Scotsman Literary Dinners brings together renowned authors with excellent food and conversation for a unique literary experience. Each event is developed and chaired by the The Scotsman’s own Stuart Kelly and takes place at prestigious city centre venues. So far we have welcomed the fantastic Ian Rankin, Denise Mina and Alexander McCall Smith.
We have also successfully delivered a number of bespoke events for up to 100 guests in our internal event suite for organisations such as Jewel & Esk College and RSPB.
